- CASE REVIEW -

Often, by the time disputes arise or clarification is needed, the incident scene is no longer available for examination. In such cases, we perform secondary investigations by thoroughly analyzing previous investigation reports, photographs, video recordings, witness statements, and other relevant evidence. This often includes additional research, modeling, or reconstruction to obtain a complete understanding of the scene.
A case review prior litigation provides a technical assessment that ensures the investigation follows the methodology of NFPA 921 - Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations, and conclusions are backed by scientific analysis and supported by sufficient evidence.

CASE REVIEW MAY INCLUDE:

  • Technical review about the origin and possible cause(s) of fire based on the available information

  • Assessment of physical evidence previously gathered

  • Opinion on the spread and circumstances of the fire

  • Recommendation for additional work where there is insufficient evidence available to support a conclusion
