- FULL INVESTIGATION -

When the scene of the incident is available for examination, full investigation allows fire investigators to gather detailed information and collect physical evidence to support the expert's opinion about the origin, cause, spread and circumstances of a fire or explosion incident. Our systemic approach to the investigation follows the methodology outlined by NFPA 921 - Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations.

FULL INVESTIGATION INVOLVES:

  • Site visit to the scene of the incident

  • Interview relevant personnel and record their statement

  • Document and interpret the physical damage

  • Production of a preliminary report or advice within 72 hours after site visit

  • Subsequent collation and interpretation of witness reports and other documentary evidence

  • Laboratory examination, analysis and interpretation of results as required

  • Production of a comprehensive final report suitable for litigation.
