- PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION -
Similar to the initial phase of full investigation, a preliminary investigation allows the fire investigator to assess the incident based on the immediately available information. Our report shall detail Our systemic approach to the investigation follows the methodology outlined by NFPA 921 - Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations.
PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION INVOLVES:
Site visit to the scene of the incident
Interview relevant personnel and record their statement
Document and interpret the physical damage
Subsequent collation and interpretation of witness reports and other documentary evidence
Production of a preliminary report or advice within 72 hours after site visit
